Vicarious swimming and a merganser
I was aware of the blue plastic bag when i blipped this swimmer in Pollok Park enjoying a wallow in the Water Cart Water, it has given me further ideas. He was using the spot just below the weir where I gather the otter was spotted, Portly’s Place. I’m sure its an errant creature as in Window in the Willows who was fortuitously found after the intervention of Pan.
Anyway it was a most satisfactory morning. John the Joiner looked at the balcony doors and gave us a quick fix that might avoid the need for an expensive replacement job. And I walked to Maxwell Park and then to Pollok Park totting up just over 5 miles in glorious sunshine and not many people. The additional photos, and i was spoilt for choice today are of the thank you NHS washing line in Maxwell Park and a merganser I spotted in Pollok Park, its either a female or an immature duck. It moved quickly and dived for some time, disappearing altogether unlike the mallards whose tails remain in the air. On the way home I spotted the kingfisher.
