Balcony woodpecker

After a desultory start when the weather was glorious but not matched by my mood the late afternoon was rewarding. Ewan had mentioned that woodpeckers came to his bird feeder so I thought it was worth a shot trying to spot one. I did and I managed to blip this while it was perched on a tree branch roughly adjacent to Ewan’s window. I think it is a greater spotted woodpecker which i gather is more common than the smaller lesser spotted woodpecker. That said from my view point it looked quite small. Very similar to the two i saw in Pollok Park the other morning.
