2020 Sunday — Easter
On this Easter Sunday, the weather looked and felt like Christmas all day. It was raining when we woke this morning and cloudy and cold from morning till night.
Every November I buy a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner and an extra Turkey for the freezer. So for today’s Easter dinner Mr. Fun & I served a Thanksgiving meal. It was dinner for two, served shortly after 6:00. And then the clean-up.
I realized the other day that I did not have any cranberry, so I googled to find a photo of OceanSpray cranberry sauce and posted that on FaceBook and asked if anyone in our area had a can of it in their cupboard. Mr. Fun said, “You aren’t really going to ask on FB, are you!” I replied, “Yes!” Within two minutes several friends responded and that was it; I had a can of cranberry and our friend even delivered it to our porch.
This has been a very special Easter — we have completed 5 (make that 4, it just feels like 50) weeks of “sheltering at home,” and today enjoyed many good sermons and Christian music online. Thank you everyone for sharing them. Thank you Jesus for forgiveness and eternal life.
Happy Easter everyone!
Rosie (& Mr.Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi
P.S. Leap year 2020 is quite unique; it has 29 days in February, 300 days in March, and 5 years in April.
