Figgate Park

This heron beside a footpath was seemingly oblivious to all the statutory exercisers passing close by. The Figgate Burn was running clear in the bright spring light. The heron was hoping for a catch.

Our 4 mile afternoon walk was lovely in the sunshine despite the chilly north wind. On the promenade, 6 police on foot, in two patrols of 3, were moving on, politely, anyone sitting on benches, sea wall or even on the sand. A walk in these extraordinary days is just that. Don’t even think about stopping and resting ... just keep on walking!
