We walked the line

Our railway was closed to passengers in 1952 and goods in 1963. I used to walk the girls and 2 friends I childminded here when we lived on the other side of the valley. Today we did 6 miles but felt quite weary on our return as we did not have a snack.

The volunteers brought our weekly shop. Still no flour, lentils, oranges etc but we’ll manage. They did have a Guardian. I just don’t enjoy the on line the same.

Cocktail with a friend tonight. Glad I had dinner more or less ready!
