Says it all
Many of you got the answer to yesterday’s blip. I was washing windows from the outside with the water patterns casting shadows on the blinds on the inside.
There’s been any amount of disagreement and spats online especially between members of walking groups on Facebook. It’s around how long people are “allowed out” for their exercise. There’s general agreement that cars should not be used to travel to “hike”, that’s where the agreement ends.
This pandemic brings out the best and the worst in people, just as any event is prone to do. A thread about dogs on leads and picking up drew much angst. Yet when we’re out walking people do seem to be far more willing to exchange a smile and a cheery welcome.
And of course, the great surge of volunteers and public sympathy support for all key workers especially the NHS is a fine example of bringing out the best. As is all the different ways people are showing their love and support for relatives they cannot be with. Aren’t we a fascinating, contradictory species?
