Wide Open Spaces

We're lucky to have open spaces like this close to home; this one is the Ham Wall Nature Reserve just a short bike ride from home.

We went just far enough to along the cycle path through the Reserve to take this, then headed home where I spent the afternoon making a curry and putting together the third chapter of a reading book that I've been writing for Sophie about our recent holiday.

She hasn't got access to the reading books from her school reading scheme at the moment obviously, so I'm emailing her a day by day account of our travels, mixing some of my photos with some simple sentences she can read. We face time each other every morning after breakfast and she reads the daily chapter to us.

It's giving us all something to look forward to.
