The sharp eyed amongst you will notice that there has been a change in my apiary.

Yes, a new  windbreak fence has been erected to give the hives some protection from easterly winds.  It was quite a construction and has stood the force of the last two gales, without trouble.  Today the bees are flying very freely, in spite of the low air temperature,  and are gaining an advantage with the early spring flowers.

I have been off-line for some considerable time because I have had to replace my computer and my camera. Today is the first day that I have been able to manage to get the things to talk to each other....
