Resource and Info Pack

Saturday 21st March 2020

A very full day in the office preparing Resource and Information Packs for all those on our Electoral Roll who are not on email - 81 packs produced. I sent some info by email the other day and the rest has gone today.

I included a Mothering Sunday card from me, using one of my photos, which I amended with Photoshop years ago. See extra.

If you're wondering about the Rainbow, schools across the country are encouraging us all to display a rainbow of hope in the window. You may make one yourself. It is a sign of hope and solidarity. It also gives children who are out something to do as they see how many they can see. I printed some to circulate and encouraged the congregation to display them. You could display one too for the children in your area.

I also included a print out of the service the Archbishop will be doing tomorrow so people could join in.

A friend said to me today that it is a marathon not a sprint. I replied that, for all clergy at this time, it is a sprint to get things ready for this weekend and get to the start of the marathon.

I called a few of my team together (keeping social distance) late afternoon to help collate all the packs. We then split them into five groups and went out to deliver them. I took all the ones in the outlying areas. It was light when I set off but the light faded rapidly. Next time I need to take a torch!!! It is so difficult finding house numbers. I was also faced with two that didn't have letter boxes that I could see and one farm track where the gate had already been shut.

I got home about 7.30pm. I believe/hope the sprint is over and we can now start the marathon at a more steady pace. Hopefully will then be able to catch up with you all again.
