Fifty Fifty

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

Today MPI announced that staff should only come into work for 50% of the week. So next week I'll be working Tue/Wed/Thu and the week after that, just Monday and Thursday.

I'll be honest. Seems to me if you CAN work from home, you SHOULD. One hundred per cent of the time. I think this half-measure is to appease those people who hate working from home. 

"I THINK IT'S A KNEE-JERK REACTION AND THIS WILL MEAN EXTRA EXPENSES FOR ME AND SKYPE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR FACE-TO-FACE MEETINGS AND IT'S JUST EXPENSE AND WHO IS GOING TO REIMBURSE ME BECAUSE I'M GOING TO HAVE TO BUY A KEYBOARD AND IT'S AN OVER-REACTION AND YOU JUST HAVE TO WASH YOUR HANDS."

Yes thank you, Smock.

I expect we'll go to 100% soon. It just seems like common sense to me. I'll even buy Smock a keyboard and a desk if it would help.
