A National Emergency

Dear Diary,

Seemed appropriate that our pathetic and incompetent president finally declared a national emergency on Friday the 13th.  It will now allow federal resources to flow to the states to help battle this crisis.  His handling of the crisis has been almost criminally inept.  I looked out and these dark and foreboding shadows crossing the road seemed the perfect visual metaphor for these times.  I will venture out today for a few things but I will make it as quick as possible.  Right now, this little farmhouse seems the safest place to be.
