I'm Building a Wall

Dear Diary,

Not THAT kind of wall!  I'm closing off a door to my sitting room which in April will become my bedroom.  No more steep stairs for me.  I'd always planned to do that and the time has come.  This the wonderful Steve, my neighbor across the road, who is doing the work.  He will come next Saturday to finish by putting up shelves on the bedroom side.  Then John will paint it and the floor. The room has seven door and window openings plus the large fireplace so there was no place to put a bed.  So, again, needs must.  Later this year, the dining room will become my sitting room and the washer/dryer will move upstairs.  One floor living, finally!
