Archie and the Daffodils

Dear Diary,

It will be a few more weeks before my daffodils will be blooming in the yard so I had to buy this bunch at the grocery store but Archie doesn't mind.  He sits quietly reading the Sunday paper on my breakfast table.  The light is just right by the window.  We are back in the deep freeze now but with the clocks turned ahead an hour now, it will be lighter longer in the afternoon and that will feel like another step toward Spring.  That is a very good thing.
