Crab balls, Benaulim beach
Sue's turn for Delhi belly today so that kept us firmly anchored to the hotel until late afternoon when we risked a beach wander, when we came across the collections of crab balls. There are tiny albino crabs living in the sand where they dig out their homes when the tide goes out, pushing out hundreds of little balls of sand. What they do when the tide comes back in I do not know.
Extras: Just a long beach view. Quiet for a Sunday but perhaps the locals are holding back for Holi, which starts on Tuesday.
Quite how I'll get photos of this colourful event, without getting embroiled in the colours chucking remains to be seen.
