Beach fishing, Benaulim

Earlyish raid on the market up at Margao where one can purchase superb spices and the like, inbetween cheap plastic geegaws, which we avoided.
Back to the ranch for lunch then after a statuary kip, down to the beach where today, all the excitement centred on getting this net drawn in and onto the beach. This involved two teams of fishermen, one at each end of the net, gradually hauling it onshore, all the while neatly preparing it for storage.
This all took a couple of hours and much shouting back and forth, eventually bringing home the relatively meagre catch. I recon 2 – 3 buckets of small fry and the one Kingfish which is in Extras.

I now have an all, well almost all over heat rash so will have to be careful for the remainder of the holiday, avoiding all but the coolest of the sunshine.
