Our pool of blissful floating.
It’s dusk here on our first full day in Hua Hin, and we are sitting on our veranda having a couple of sundowners, in a temperature of 34 DegC. Just thought you at home would like to know that ;-)
Didn’t do much today, just letting the dust settle, literally and metaphorically, after our 2nd class Fan coach rail journey. Classic Thai railways, the train left Bangkok dead on time, and that was probably the only moment that it was on time. No matter. All part of the fun.
We spent a couple of hours at the pool, had a wander to the laundry across the road, and thence to the beach. It’s a good 3 miles long, but very narrow in parts, and non-existant in parts when the tide is in. Very clean, soft warm sand, again for the benefit of those at home.
As you can see above, our accommodation is set in a lovely garden with umpteen trees and birds sitting in them, singing their wee hearts out. That’s where we spent the rest of the afternoon, until it was time to do this.
Hope to get more interesting photos in due course but in the meantime, extras are a sample of SEAsian wiring, and the view down our lane to a beachside high rise hotel, of which there are too many (for my taste)
