All Hallows Church Great Mitton Lancashire

A very busy morning on the nursery this morning.Lots of seedlings to come out of the germinating room and a lot of watering to be done.We got finished just after lunch and it was time to take the CB500X out for an explore about.

The first picture in extras is on Guide Road which is all re-claimed land.I used to work at Hornbys about 36 yrs ago and turning the bike around in the yard in front of the farm was like stepping back in time.It hadn't really changed a bit.

My next stop was in Great Mitton.All Hallows Church is a gem and this year celebrates 750 years of worship.In one of the extras a C14 cross head showing the Crucifixion can be seen with Longridge in the background.The main picture is from the church interior.

The bike is a joy to ride.Nice and light as well as being small and nimble for exploring the back roads and those less travelled.

Very windy last night and all morning.Less windy this afternoon.A mainly bright day.
