Shopping. Not
Libby took Archie out for a big walk through the Hermitage, and it was a lovely sunny day, though rather chilly at about 5°.
After my exercises, including on the floor ones, I decided to have a walk down town, well - bus down, walk around a wee bit. I went to Tiso's to check out wet weather trousers, but there was head banging music blasting out, so I left. As I passed an assistant, I informed him that the music was 'not conducive to browsing' and he gave a rueful smile. Perhaps he agrees with me.
I had a Prêt coffee (and a pastry) and was vaguely considering walking home. I haven’t walked from town for decades, though it's only about half an hour. But I felt much tireder (is that a word) than yesterday's epic stepping out. I walked through the Gardens to see the fountain - it's such a lovely sight after decades of it being ignored and falling into disrepair. Check out the close up.(Extra)
As I came out of St Cuthbert's graveyard, I checked my bus app - oh look! A bus in 5 minutes! So I abandoned the idea of walking home. So it was only 6,760 steps.
