Red

After the sensible but cowardly act of yesterday, I needed to get out and a short thaw this afternoon encouraged me.

I tried to capture a drip of water coming off a melting icicle. I came away with an understanding just how difficult it is to do that. I did capture a couple but each had a fuzzy image of a descending drip. It looked like a smudge. For those who manage to capture such an event, you have my admiration.

Plan B involved catching the sunset and the pink snow. So through the drifts, up to the field following the footsteps of others. By which time, the snow was turning blue again. However, the sunset behind the windbreak supplied some warmth.
