Mossy landscape

It was well into the afternoon when Cooriedog and I set out to continue our investigation into the new found world of lichen. The objective this time was to extend our investigation to the world of moss should the opportunity arise.

We approached an old fence post which had long since lost its fence just as we had done loads of times before. However the top of the post held new interest. Looking more closely, there was a miniature landscape in there of rotting wood, lichen and moss. And, seen through the eyes of the camera lens, it was absolutely fascinating. Try going large.

There is photographic richness in decay. Well, as far as plants are concerned at any rate.
