The view

After a night of very heavy rain it developed into a beautiful Spring like day and the view over to the Clee Hills was glorious.
 
Day 3 of housesitting has proved to be a bit mixed, the upside:  the Ducks are happy and laid another egg, the Cats and Kittens are all happy, we’ve fixed a few items of wind damage, carted the dustbins to the top of the drive, fed the birds, love watching them out of the kitchen window …………
The downside:  the heating has gone on the blink so no hot water and one of the wood burners is smoking like hell.  Some gliding friends are coming for dinner this evening and M is an electrician and heating engineer so perhaps he might be able to help.  Dinner is all prepped, but I hope it isn’t tainted with a smoky BBQ flavour!!
 
Extras:  The wooden framing under the roof tiles over the back door is beautifully carved and we have a Welsh Dragon sitting on top of the front porch.
