Bright eyes

Our one winged Magpie has been missing for a few days and I feared the worst, but today he's back and it's very windy.  He looks as if he is struggling to hang on to his perch atop the Sparrow hedge and continues to feed on the ground.  Poor boy.

It's recycling day here and the wind has taken most of it for a run down the road, into everyone's garden and everywhere apart from the recycling boxes - grrr - lots of chasing about to retrieve plastic, bottles, tins and cardboard.  A lot of the residents here are elderly (older than us!!) so we've been retrieving their stuff too.  Wish the Council would issue us with wheelie bins with lids  - Could ring them and ask I suppose??
