Diary of an Edinburgher

Workout!

Today was the day I tried out the Body Street workout. I say 'workout' but the trainer was pretty gentle with me. 20 minutes of exercises, with electrical currents buzzing through every part of my body.  Actually, it wasn’t twenty minutes solid, it was four seconds - hold the stretch, then four seconds 'rest'. Sounds easy, but after about ten minutes I was gasping for a cup of tea. She gave me a big glass of water, which I think I should have had before I began. I managed it, well, she stopped at 19 minutes, but I’m sure I could have done another minute. Now I have to decide if I should take it seriously and do it every week...

I went to the cafe for a coffee (no scone) and the chap asked, 'Where's Archie?' (he remembered him barking last visit). These fantastic tulips were on the counter and deserved a photo. I walked home, but then just sat. I think I was very tired.

JR took Archie to the Hermitage while it was still sunny. Though it was MUDDY!

In the afternoon Robert (Archie's second newest friend) popped in to pick up his (over)trousers, which he left here last week. Archie couldn’t wait for him to sit down before he jumped on to his lap and started to cover him in kisses! So funny - he only does this with a few folk, he's just known Robert for a few weeks, but obviously loves him. Hopefully it's not too wet tomorrow for a Robert walk.
