End of the day

There was no bell ringing this morning.  Five of us turned up but because of a miscommunication, no-one had a key. The weather was so poor that we decided to go to the cinema to watch the new version of Jane Austen's Emma. I had read reviews and was not disappointed. It was a very fresh and stylised interpretation of a classic novel with a nicely judged balance between light touches of humour and the more serious considerations of character and social class. The cast was excellent.
