Curry night

The cookbook was given to use at one of the homesteads we stayed at in Kerala.  The chef, who was very talented and something of a showman, had appeared on Indian television - a sort of Indian Ainsley Harriott I suppose.  Tonight we have C. and C. coming for a meal so it seemed an ideal opportunity to prepare one of the dishes from the book. The fire is lit and the storm seems just to be arriving. The market was cancelled in town today because of the wind but I was still able to meet up with a friend for coffee.
