Depression

Having decided after New Year and a fortnight's gluttony, that it was going to be this far and no further, I have decided that the only way to get back some of my erstwhile svelte shape of more than a decade ago, is to embark on the acclaimed 5/2 regime -eat normally for 5 days and restrict the calories to 500 or less for the other 2 days.
To add to my misery,I have decided to make the 2 days my gym days.

So here I am with a dismal day of greyness and wet snowflakes blown horizontal outside the window while I sip my hot water and try not to think of a comforting biscuit or three.
His Lordship tells me to weigh myself so that I can be encouraged if I loose any ounces, but as most women know it is enough to find your trousers or skirt become more roomy at the waist.

Never has a supper of Brussel sprouts, carrots and a chicken breast, seemed so appealing. It's just a pity I still have to wait another 5hours for it.

You know you are losing the plot when you start eating the toothpaste.
