Palacerigg

Spent the morning reading and catching up with various bits and pieces. As the morning's fog cleared, I decided to drive over to Palacerigg Country Park in Cumbernauld for a wander around in the afternoon.

My walk was a bit longer than planned as several paths were closed due to subsidence - old mine workings had collapsed due to recent rain - and diversions were in place. There was more bad news on returning to the visitor centre - the cafe was closed for the winter and doesn't open until March. I mean, what's a walk if one can't have a coffee at the end?
