I love to bake, but rarely get the magic combination of a free kitchen, plentiful ingredients and an absent Head Chef!! Today, all three came together and I spent a lovely few hours baking biscuits.
The first batch were vanilla and chocolate swirls, and the second batch (pictured here) were modified from a Bakerella recipe - Dark Chocolate Chip Comfort Cookies. The recipe was a bit of a challenge, as I had to convert US "cup" quantities to the UK grams, and then translate oven temperatures as well. They seem to have turned out alright. BabyBro certainly thinks so, as he's already eaten two!!
Finishing up the day by taking a quick break from the stove to blip, before I head back to the kitchen to make the roast dinner. Roast chicken, with bread sauce! Yum yum!!
