Sally Mair - Loving life

Safely delivered.....

Apparently this parcel is delivered and left in my safe place which apparently is my front porch. Equally apparent is the fact that this parcel is not in a porch but is outside my front door and has in fact been opened, presumably by some passer by who spotted it and thought it might be worth investigating... fortunately it contained cat litter which was of no use to the ?potential thief? Had the delivery man rung the door bell we would have answered and it could have been safely brought inside the house. Why don't delivery people ever ring our door bell? They sometimes hammer on the door with a fist but we can't hear that. If they rang the bell we'd answer. Incidentally I do have a safe place both in delivery instructions and on a notice on the front door — this is not it!
In the rectory today having the final snagging on the new vinyl fixed and the cleaning finished off. It all looks great. Back home and I went for a wee power nap. When I got up again I pruned the roses is the back garden, hooray, at last! I also took away some of the dead stuff in the beds too. I then made a batch of burnt orange marmalade and labelled the last batch too.
You may have seen the news items about Anne. She was a lovely lady who had had an exceptionally long life and I'm sure she is happy where she is now. I will miss seeing her though.
Friday tomorrow and another week done, where do the weeks go to..?
