It's a start..

I've always loved embroidery and sewing, not such a great fan of cross-stitch, but I wanted to have something I can pick up and do easily.  So I've started - and done very little, but it's as relaxing as ever.  After such a busy autumn and life not looking quiet in the near future, something like this is a perfect antidote.

The youngest was awake in the night with a horrible cough - they go straight to his throat and chest every single time.  He was ok for school, but I spent 3 - 5am with him.  Suffice to say, it's been a bit of a slow day at work today.  On the plus side, both the boys were fast asleep by 7pm, so I've had a nice long evening!  They both have these horrible coughs and colds, thankfully are still well enough to go to school, even if they aren't feeling on top of the world.

Had my exit interview at work, although I still have a good few weeks to go.  Having spent a bit of time wondering if we're doing the right thing - is all the upheaval worth it, the meeting made me realise that it is!  Phew!

Made great progress house wise, the carpets are being fitted next week (a tactical , cheap, vanity purchase to get rid of the 1980's carpet on the stairs and hopefully impress someone and they will buy the place).  Now that I have the carpet date, I've booked the estate agents for the photographs.
