Monkeying around
Last night the band played at Adlington in Lancashire. As it's so far away I had a lift from Nantwich with two other band members for which I was very grateful.
The organisers provided us with mugs of tea and food when we got there which was much appreciated.
It was a great night with very good dancers as it was a ceilidh club.
It was a huge hall which was set up for amateur dramatics and of course the band couldn't resist trying on/playing around with some of the props in the wings. We play a tune called The Monkey Hornpipe and N donned this mask to wear while playing it which caused much amusement to us. The chick that was an honoury band member also belonged to the hall. The extra is of the band playing with N wearing it.
It was a long journey home as an overnight motorway closure meant a detour. I didn't get to bed until after 3.00am as I had a 50 minute drive after arriving back at Nantwich so it will probably be a slow day today!
