Mitton Hall

The Minx was in London, last night; she'd taken the miniMinx down to see 'Six' (the musical). She had a pretty rubbish night's sleep in the hotel and consequently was knackered today but, like the plucky soldier she is, wouldn't countenance missing her cousin's wedding reception in Whalley.

Consequently, we met at my house after work and then drove east to Long Preston and then south towards Clitheroe. The reception was at Mitton Hall, which happens to be owned by the same people who have The Royal in Kirkby Lonsdale. (I don't have this kind of knowledge: the Minx told me.)

It was a lovely family do. Sometimes being on the periphery is the best observation point for seeing how it is that families can get on: everyone bound together, all those years and all those connections.
