Moel Famau
SUNDAY
After yesterday's party I managed an amazing seven hours sleep and was eager to have a final run in the Clwydian Hills again before heading home.
I did a 8.75 km run up through 1200 feet to the ridge on Moel Famau but didn't have time to run the extra mile or so along the ridge to the Jubilee Tower.
The ridge is part of the Offa's Dyke Path and was bathed in glorious sunshine. Looking in the opposite direction [see extra] is Moel Arthur which I walked up yesterday.
I spent too long messing about but completed the circuit in 1hr :04 min
It was downhill all the way to the cottage and I clocked up some cheeky PBs for the mile [6:45] , 2 mile [14:27]and 1k [4:06].
The drive home was pretty straightforward and we were greeted by a spectacular red sunset.
Spent the evening reading another of Adam Kay's amusing books "Twas the nightshift before Christmas".
