Sea-view
Sometimes our winter days are more monochrome than colourful, but they are no less beautiful for that. I even thought about using the image as a monochrome (see extra).
Jan suggested a walk up above The High Coast Hotel, just to the north of The High Coast bridge. She wanted a walk with views, something that can be difficult in this land of forest!
The footpath was covered in snow but a few people had walked along it and the snow wasn't so deep so we set off. In places it was steep and slippery and we hoped we could get to the top, and follow the main track down, rather than returning the way we had gone.
As it was starting to get dark we arrived at the wind turbine, and took a short detour to this view. It's the outlet where the Ångerman River joins the sea. A mixture of sea and river, mainland and islands.
By now the lights were coming on at the bottom of the hill so we turned down the track and followed it right back to the car park.
