Technique
I needed to take it easy today so the jigsaw puzzle I bought yesterday provided the perfect occupation. I'd saved backing boards from some large picture frames for the purpose of jigsaw making, so these came out and were put on the kitchen table. Merlin was interested in what I was doing - he hasn't seen a jigsaw before.
Andy was at his Mum's house this morning waiting for the piano to be taken away to a place it will be restored and given to a good home. When he got home he was interested to observe my technique for completing jigsaws and compare it with his. I always start doing the edges, then I put all the other pieces out and gather them into groups of pieces which I think go together. He doesn't do this spreading out and grouping, but does the edges and then, if it is featured, completes the sky!
Just before dark I ventured out with Merlin for a walk around the village. It was good to stretch my legs and breathe in the cold air. The houses and gardens are looking very pretty with all the festive lights decorating them. There were quite a few groups of family out walking - so I assume festive gatherings have begun!
Wishing you all well.
