Christmas Puzzle

Despite the sodden ground we did our usual Saturday morning walk with Merlin, going over the fields and then through the village via the bakery to buy our bread on the way home.  By the time we'd washed and dried Merlin and cleaned all the mud and hair, and towels we used on him, it was mid morning.

Before lunch, we had just enough time to pop out to Goodwood as I wanted Andy to chose some new golf clothes for his Christmas present.  Its been so wet that both the courses were shut so it was pleasantly quiet.  Rather embarrassingly it was I rather than Andy who ended up getting a Christmas present!

After lunch I popped over to Emsworth to drop some things at the charity shop.  Whilst I was there I decided to buy a Christmas jigsaw puzzle to keep us amused during the dark festive evenings.  Andy has, in the past, done research into butterflies, and we have enjoyed seeing lots of beautiful ones on our walks with Merlin, so this puzzle seemed particularly appropriate (and colourful).  Andy seemed a bit frustrated I had chosen a round puzzle - not sure why!

It is four years to the day that Mum died so, along with it being the winter solstice, this is particularly poignant day for us.

Many thanks for all your kind wishes on yesterday's blip.  I hope this finds you all well or improving if you have been unwell.  Best wishes.
