Cold, cold
and frosty morning with just a bit of brightness at 8.00 am, but within an hour of taking this the freezing fog had rolled in frosting up the car windows heavily and making the trees of the nearby St Ives Estate disappear. I imagine it was pretty bad on the ground out there as there was black ice on the pavements and roads last night as we walked back from the last Panto rehearsal before Christmas.
By midday the fog was even thicker, not much to be seen beyond the bottom of the garden but I noticed that the car screens were now clear of frost so warmer and wetter.
As Chris was going to Bingley to the tip I went with him to pop into the M&S petrol station shop to get some chocolate mini rolls (a must for my daughter), came out with a bag full of stuff of course and we still have our main shop to do. Always the same at this time of year.
Reports from the SW tell me Eda has discovered ‘Christmas chocolate’ and ice cream Christmas trees! She’s also been carol singing supplying her own words to ‘Away in a Manger’!
