SOUTH LODGE GATES
One of our regular morning walks takes us past the South Lodge, which has never been occupied in all the 22years I have lived here. Shame on the owners. But the sunshine on the shrubbery is free.
Managed to crack through a bit of work today, in spite of still feeling tired. Casting occasional speculative looks at the garden through the windows. Time to order seeds, me thinks.
We are enjoying watching the sucess of one little robin on the feeder. Through perseverance he has learned to access the seeds, even though his body was not really designed for clinging on as do the tits and finches. He has a distinctive pattern of colour on his breast - maybe I should name him?
