A beautiful sunny day and flights arrived and departed on time at Nelson airport - a perfect day for travelling.

I have added a filter to this scene to add a painterly zing.


So many thanks for the comments, stars and hearts you have so kindly gifted my recent blips. I’m thrilled the sunset seen through the Australian fire haze on this side of the Tasman is now shuffling between page one & two of the popular pages!

White Island volcano eruption update
47 people were on the island when it erupted at 2.11pm yesterday.
31 are still in hospital, several in critical condition in various burn units in major hospitals throughout NZ
3 people have been discharged from hospital
5 have been confirmed dead

8 people are still missing and believed to have died. Tragically, for the moment, conditions are too volatile on the island for recovery of these eight.
Update 10.40pm Tuesday 10th - Police have confirmed a sixth person has died in hospital from injuries.
