Copper…

…………………..Butterfly, NZ


I’m not sure which Copper Butterfly this is,  but I nearly stepped on it as I walked around the water in the Sanctuary Ponds Reserve this afternoon. 
It was very obliging and I managed to get three photos before it fluttered out of sight.



Thank you for the comments and stars for yesterday’s plane nearing lift-off at Nelson airport. Our son arrived back in Sydney and is now safely at home with his wife.


White Island  - check out this link for information on the volcano. Sadly, another person died in hospital last night, bringing the official death toll to six. Volcanic activity increased this morning making conditions too dangerous to return to the island for the recovery operation of the remaining eight.
