Back Blip…

………………..Route 500, Scotland



A Back Blip, uploaded Sunday 1st December for 12th May.



Today we travelled along the northern and western coast of Scotland from Thurso to the Isle of Skye.

Stunning rugged scenery and beaches greeted us at every turn. A day of absolute beauty - and a perfect day for it to be our turn in the front seats of the bus!

Smoo Cave at Durness exercised the leg muscles as we walked down to the caves and climbed up the opposite hill for wonderful views in every direction.
Lunch at Ullapool was, of course fish n’ chips at a local seaside restaurant for the group.

One of the highlights today was seeing a herd of wild deer who kindly waited for the driver to park the bus and for us to troop back and line a bridge to capture them in their natural environment. They didn’t hang around long, but long enough to get a good selection of photos.
