Queen Elizabeth Bridge - Dartford

Time to return our daughter to university today .. why couldn't she have chosen somewhere closer than Kent? 600 mile round trip in a day ffs ...

Still, we got her there and returned safe and sound (to an empty house! No 4-footed pattering to greet us; still seems wrong).

On the j ourney, I was struck by how beautiful the QE Bridge over the Thames at Dartford actually is. Very simple, yet very elegant, and viewed from the centre lane the symmetry is rather striking, so I took a quick snap with my iPhone. Could have come out worse, really :)
