Robin - Marbury Park
Spot of birding first this morning down at Marbury Park in Cheshire. Sat in the bird hide, watching and waiting for something more interesting than blue tits and squirrels to appear, when this little chap came and perched on the window ledge inside the hide itself! Just had time to focus and take a couple of shots before he flew off, but he did pose beautifully!
Later, went to Birmingham NIA to watch basketball on behalf of my son, who is a complete basketball nut. Mind you, at only 15, he's 6'1" and already pretty good at the game, so maybe something'll come of it. He certainly loves it, so taking him that distance wasn't a chore. It was actually very exciting with lots of spectacular things going on, a couple of very good games, and a great atmosphere. Good way to spend a day :)
I've been a bit down this weekend, largely with a mild cold (nothing severe - not man-flu or anything), just enough to be a nuisance. I did feel particularly sick and lethargic yesterday though on the drive back from Kent - not at all well. There's still a touch of that lingering, despite a very long and satisfactory night's sleep last night. Still a touch of post-Buzz blues, I wonder?
