R.I.P. Buzz

Oh, such a sad day today. Our beloved dog, Buzz, is no longer with us. He was over 14 years old (he was a rescue dog, so we're not absolutely sure how old), and we'd had him for just over 8 years. In that time, I know we've given him a much happier, longer and healthier life than he would have had otherwise. He was the most placid, tolerant, gentle, characterful dog anyone could hope to have, and everyone who met him fell instantly in love with him.

Such a hard decision to make (although he went downhill so fast this morning that it was easier than it might have been to make). I held his head as the vet did the necessary and sobbed my heart out. I've been fine most of the day, but I'm in floods now typing this as the memories come back.

Thanks for all the happiness you brought us Buzz. There is a big, empty void in our house right now - you are so missed.
