A good perch

I spotted this unusual perch in the arboretum worn smooth by people sitting on it over the years. The park is close to the church which I popped into to see how the learners were getting on and to help out for a while.  I did not stay long as I have been struggling with tooth ache.  I phoned my dentist here but they are closed for the Bank holiday and, as in much of France, they are bridging over the weekend and part of this week too.  There was no emergency number given.  I phoned my UK dentist hoping to manage till next week only to find he has gone to India!  The first appointment I can get is in two weeks!  I hope I can hold on that long.
