Every cloud....

Since I last blipped I have broken my toe, the dog has fallen overboard & the inverter blew up quite dramatically with lots of electrical popping and sparking noises, followed by a nasty plasticky burning smell and copious amounts of smoke. Shit really does come in 3s.
Anyway the toe is still attached to my foot, the dog swam to the towpath where he almost managed to pull himself out. I couldn't quite get the boat close to the side but hubby performed a leap of heroic proportions, before running back & grabbing the mutt ( who was none the worse for wear.) 
The inverter however had died. Now, when you live on a narrowboat with no home mooring, getting a piece of kit delivered ain't easy. I can get groceries delivered no problem. I've even had a pizza delivered to the middle of nowhere but we needed a full postal address for this, so after a quick Google we found this lovely marina. It's basic, no toilet block, cafe etc but everyone is friendly & an added bonus they have 3 free range alapacas!!!! I'm so happy I'm cheesing
