Diary of an Edinburgher

Well done Japan!

Despite the gloomy forecast, the day was sunny until late afternoon - plenty of time for Annemique to take Archie out for a big long walk up Craiglockart Hill (and he wasn’t sick in her car). She hasn’t been for a while, but we wanted to catch up on her recent holiday in Costa Rica (as well as give Archie a big long walk without any effort from us).

I watched the rugby. Well done Japan, I was pleased they won, actually - they were bloomin' marvellous and it was SO good for their supporters - a bit of joy after the horror of the typhoon.

Our iron has blown the house fuses twice, so JR went to get a new one in JL. Haven’t tried it yet...

When she returned, Annemique regaled us with her adventures in Costa Rica - falling out of the raft and nearly drowning on a trip down rapids, getting sort of lost on a jungle trail and hearing something rustling in the undergrowth, following them. It was a PUMA. They saw it!! They really thought their time on earth had come to an end, but ran on, hand in hand. It was a circular trail, so they knew it would lead them back eventually. Nobody knew where they were - they hadn’t told anybody they'd gone on this jungle trail. Naughty girls!

Annemique was fiddling with Archie's lugs and they looked so daft, so I took a quick shot, and though it's not terribly good (I zoomed in fully, and probably wobbled a bit) it'll have to do. My step count today is minuscule - from the sofa to the fridge several times.s
