Glory Days

This mural of some of Yeovil's former players celebrating victory in the League 1 play-off final at the end of the 2012-13 season, which saw us promoted to the Championship, is on the outer wall of the main stand.

Sadly, today wasn't one of those glory days: we didn't play to the high standards of last Tuesday night's game and lost 2-1 to Harrogate Town, gifting them both of their goals. Not for the first time, we didn't deal well with a team whose main priority was defence and whose main tactic was to rely on high balls to their tall front man. A shame as, if we'd managed to draw, results elsewhere would have seen us top of the league.

Our son, Chris, at least managed to cover himself in glory at this morning's park run, knocking almost a minute off his previous best time. I don't think Eliud Kipchogee is quaking in his running shoes yet, mind you :)
