And The Mystery Object Is....

We went down to spend some time with Sophie today while Kate was meeting friends for lunch. We took her for a walk around the National Trust property Fyne Court on the Quantocks.

As we set off on our walk, Sophie was insistent she could see an animal shape amongst the recently felled tree trunks in the woods "like the reindeer statues at Christmas". She kept trying to point it out to us but we couldn't see it at all until we walked a few paces further and the different angle made it clearer what she meant; more cow than reindeer perhaps but her eyesight and imagination is definitely sharper than ours.

She enjoyed test driving her new wellies in a stream further round the walk and a McDonald's onthe way back.
