Allensford Calciner
Just posted yesterday's blip, now today's while I can get on-line.
After a wet walk yesterday we had better than expected weather today - it was actually sunny for most of it.
The walk started near here and just down the hill from this (which was something to do with calcium and the iron making process - haven't the battery power to check out at present) are the remains of Britain's first blast furnace, used for sword making.
Much gentler walk through fields and woods with some fine views.
Out for a meal with walkingmarj and will be getting an early night
